Hello and welcome! Abundant Life Spiritual Center is a dynamic spiritual community with a focus on awakening those who walk through our doors to the divine within and inspiring them to live confidently, passionately and powerfully. Together we learn how to Live Fearlessly and Love Outrageously because life is meant to be filled with joy and lived with ease as a positive experience, not a struggle. We named ourselves Abundant Life because we know that the Abundant Life - a life of wholeness and authentic self-expression, purpose, creativity and love - is the divine birthright of everyone and we want to support your living it.

We have put together a schedule of classes, workshops, and special services – all at Abundant Life Spiritual Center - for 2015. We hope that this helps you in planning your year and clearing your calendar well in advance for the gatherings that interest you. We are likely to offer additional events during 2015 (especially in light of our recent Town Hall meeting), so keep a close watch on our announcements, flyers, website articles and Facebook page. Here are our current plans:
Foundations in Unity is a 6-week class that explores the foundational principles of Unity teachings while also connecting you to others in our community. It is the portal for membership, but more importantly, it is the place where you start to feel that you belong here at Abundant Life Spiritual Center. The content of this class is deep and rich. So we encourage people who have taken it before to take it again. Not only will you support the people who are new to our teachings, but you will surely learn something new or see it from a new perspective!
To learn more about what people have said about the class and what topics are covered, you can read more about it here.

When we consciously live, move and have our being in Spirit, we experience an expanded sense of Life. There is nowhere where God is not. But it is our job to keep our attention turned to that Truth and keep ourselves focused on the Presence Itself. When we release our human needs (the stuff we normally ask God for - you know, a new job, better relationship, anything we think we don't have but want), and regularly come apart from our daily activities in spiritual practice – prayer and meditation – we fill our spiritual bank accounts. With our spiritual bank accounts full, we are then able to draw on our reserves when those unpredictable times of challenge seem to hit us. But it’s important to remember that that is not why we turn to God.
Our Mother's Day service is Sunday, May 10. We know that this is a joyful day for some and a difficult day for others because our mothers evoke a range of emotions. At Abundant Life Spiritual Center we want to honor everyone’s experience. This year's service will be led by some of our community members, and everyone is invited to bring a story or anecdote about their mother or a significant mother figure in their lives. Those who wish to share their stories are welcome to do so. Remember there is also a Universal Mothering principle at work in our lives and we will also celebrate that.
Our new men's group kicked off on January 18th. This group meets every third Sunday of the month at 9:15 a.m. prior to our Sunday service. All men in our community are invited as well as any men outside our community who may be interested.
The group’s initial focus is on archetypes and a metaphysical study of prominent male characters featured in the Bible. We'll examine their life purpose, their journey and the corresponding archetypes at work within their personalities, life decisions and accomplishments. Group participants will introspectively examine how these metaphysical characters and archetypes are actively at work within their own lives today.
Prayer is a powerful and practical tool that affirms our unity with God, the unconditional loving Source of all that is. It is practical because a prayer is more than the words we think or speak. The vision and intention we hold in our minds are creative forces in our lives. As one practical example, Myrtle Fillmore, co-founder of Unity, used affirmative prayer to heal herself from tuberculosis. Charles and Myrtle Fillmore founded the Unity movement in 1889 as a healing ministry based on the power of prayer and the power of our thoughts to create our own experience of reality.
Abundant Life Spiritual Center continues this healing ministry with a team of Prayer Chaplains. Your Prayer Chaplains are available to join you in affirmative prayer every Sunday.
