Hello and welcome! Abundant Life Spiritual Center is a dynamic spiritual community with a focus on awakening those who walk through our doors to the divine within and inspiring them to live confidently, passionately and powerfully. Together we learn how to Live Fearlessly and Love Outrageously because life is meant to be filled with joy and lived with ease as a positive experience, not a struggle. We named ourselves Abundant Life because we know that the Abundant Life - a life of wholeness and authentic self-expression, purpose, creativity and love - is the divine birthright of everyone and we want to support your living it.

Martha Creek is a phenomenal presence throughout Unity and is teaching in the Chicago area in July. We are excited that she will be with us on Wednesday, July 22 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Her workshop, "How to Be Calm When Others Are Not" is designed for anyone who is on a path of self-realization. Martha has a playful approach and also takes seriously the times that we live in and the challenges of thinking more clearly about families, communities, congregations and leadership. The workshop will offer resources and training that are based on a view of life that looks at communities as living systems that incorporated thinking, feeling, responsibility and purpose.

Every July 4th we are reminded of the vision that our country’s founders had for this nation – a land of the free. The United States is an experiment in self-governance. Self-governance and Freedom are Divine ideas plucked out of the realm of Infinite Possibilities and put in place here in our immediate world. While we may have been sloppy at fully implementing freedom for all, we are blessed by its ideals. And as citizens we have the choice to embrace it or lose it. Our experiment will only truly work if we the people educate ourselves, stay fully informed and also commit ourselves to evolving our consciousness ever higher.

Every summer we take a more laid back approach to our Sunday service. We like to make it more casual and conversational, consistent with the feel of summer. This summer we are also going to start our service earlier – at 10 am - so that you can take your spiritual inspiration and thoroughly enjoy even more of the long summer day. If it turns out we like this start time better (i.e. more people regularly show up for it) we will look at changing it permanently. Other cool things on the horizon this summer are:
